Who’s who

Here’s an introduction to the members of staff who work at Chequers Playgroup. All staff regularly attend courses to enhance their knowledge, including mandatory training in First Aid, Child Protection, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety and Risk Assessment.

Charlotte Atmore, Playgroup Supervisor

Charlotte started at Chequers Playgroup in February 2006. Prior to this she was at college full time training for her NVQ Level 2.  While she was working at Chequers she has completed her NVQ Level 3.

Charlotte also works with 4 to 12 year olds at an after school club in Wymondham. She also cares for a child with particular needs during the lunch time sessions at Hempnall Primary school.

Charlotte is currently on Maternity Leave.

Tonya Manning, Acting Playgroup Supervisor

Tonya started at Chequers in June 2010.  She has been working in childcare for several years.  She is level 3 qualified and is hoping to start her level 4 soon.  She also has a BTEC National Diploma in Art and Crafts.

• Makaton trained;
• Health and Safety trained.

Marlene Cracknell, Playgroup Assistant

Marlene started at Chequers Playgroup in 1975. Prior to this she worked in the local shop, as well as being a mum and housewife. Marlene is at Chequers on Mondays and Tuesdays.

• Qualified NVQ Level 3;
• Joint Equal Opportunities Co-ordinator;
• First Aid Trained;
• Child Protection Trained.

Terri Jackson, Playgroup Assistant

Terri started off as a Playgroup mum, then a parent helper, relief worker and now permanent employee.  She works Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Qualifications & training

• Terri is just starting her NVQ level 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development
• Child Protection Trained
• First Aid Trained

Allison Gillick, Playgroup Assistant

Allison joined us in September 2009.  She has lots of experience working in both Playgroups and School.  She works on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

• Qualified NVQ Level 2
• Allison is just starting her NVQ level 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development
• Child Protection Trained
• First Aid Trained

Cassie Rayner, Playgroup Assistant

Cassie started at Chequers in June 2010.  She is just about to finish her Level 3 qualification and has been working as a volunteer in her local primary school as well as completing her college placements.  She works on Thursdays and Fridays.

Qualifications & training

• Cassie is just finishing her BTEC National Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development
• First Aid trained

Caroline Lloyd, Bank Playgroup Assistant

Caroline helps us out whenever we need her.  She is a also a committee member and a parent.  Her children have been attending Chequers for many years and her youngest is there now.

Qualifications & training

• Caroline has an NVQ Level 2
